donn\u00e9es abord\u00e9 lors du s\u00e9minaire sur le big data et approfondi ensuite par Julien dans son article:<a href=\"https:\/\/campus.hesge.ch\/blog-master-is\/de-la-necessite-de-la-visualisation-face-au-deluge-des-donnees\/\"> la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de la visualisation face au d\u00e9luge des donn\u00e9es<\/a>, j\u2019ai voulu explorer la dimension artistique de ce dernier.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">La phase exploratoire de ma recherche m\u2019a rapidement men\u00e9e aux projets de\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/davidmccandless.com\/\">David McCandless<\/a> : auteur, artiste et, avant tout, data enthousiaste.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">A l\u2019instar de Luciano Floridi, David McCandless propose d\u2019utiliser la <em>data visualization<\/em> pour nous aider \u00e0 d\u00e9jouer le d\u00e9luge de donn\u00e9es et nous permettre de mieux appr\u00e9hender des questions complexes.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Pour McCandless, le design de l\u2019information doit raconter une histoire et donner du sens aux donn\u00e9es qu\u2019il se pr\u00e9sente sous forme de visualisation, d\u2019infographie ou d\u2019application web.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Il doit \u00e9galement permettre de mieux distinguer les structures et connections qui importent,\u00a0 lors de l\u2019analyse d\u2019une situation aux donn\u00e9es href=\"https:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/david_mccandless_the_beauty_of_data_visualization?referrer=playlist-art_from_data&amp;language=en&amp;fbclid=IwAR1RekwOFDJ7HnR-Ahtodg50J_NbLO4eR97SPckcKAjIVxSy9Y-ZhmwsQp0#t-16427\">TEDGlobal<\/a> en 2010, David McCandless nous explique que l\u2019\u0153il humain est particuli\u00e8rement sensible \u00e0 la structure des variations de formes et de couleurs. En combinant le langage de l\u2019\u0153il avec celui de notre cerveau qui, lui, pense en mots, en chiffres et en concepts, on est capable de comprendre deux langages en simultan\u00e9. Les gagnants sont r\u00e9compens\u00e9s par de l\u2019argent qui est souvent r\u00e9investi dans des nouveaux projets et une visibilit\u00e9 m\u00e9diatique \u00e9tendue. La notori\u00e9t\u00e9 engendr\u00e9e par la victoire permet \u00e9galement aux vainqueurs de se d\u00e9marquer dans ce domaine en pleine expansion.<\/p><p>Parmi les diff\u00e9rentes cat\u00e9gories des<em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.informationisbeautifulawards.com\/\">Information is Beautiful Awards<\/a><\/em>, la cat\u00e9gorie <em>Unusual<\/em> et <em>Arts, Entertainment and Culture<\/em> ont retenu toute mon attention.<\/p><p>La m\u00e9daille d\u2019or de cette ann\u00e9e, publi\u00e9e par le magazine <em>National Geographic<\/em>, est une peinture qui reprend le style de Picasso et s\u00e9pare en th\u00e8mes et en sous-cat\u00e9gories les sujets qui ont inspir\u00e9 le peintre tout au long de sa carri\u00e8re.
