Nicolas Cilins approaches visual art as a set of experiments. He conceives environments and objects in which the beholder is invited to project himself. He tests thus the small theoretical constructions he has carefully materialised and explores themes such as memory, architecture, ruins or power of images.

He has exhibited publicly in France, Switzerland, Germany and USA. He currently lives between Berlin and Geneva where he is an assistant professor at the School of Art and Design.
