Naoufel Cheikhrouhou is a full Professor of Supply Chain, Logistics and Operations Management at Geneva School of Business Administration. Between 2001 and 2014, he was the Head the Operations Management group at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). His main research interests are modelling, simulation and optimisation of supply chains, human factors in production management and Logistics and Hybrid forecasting methodologies, for which Dr. Cheikhrouhou received the Burbidge Award in 2003.

Yvonne Badulescu

Yvonne Badulescu is a Senior Researcher at the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG), a PhD graduate from the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and Regional Coordinator of VNL, the Swiss association of logistics networks. Previously, Ms. Badulescu held various positions in Supply Chain and Logistics with several multinational companies in Switzerland after leaving Australia to obtain a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Her research interests include the use of Big Data in production management, manufacturing, and Supply Chain, and the role of human judgment in decision-making with various academic publications.

Khelil Kassoul

Khelil Kassoul is a researcher at the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG) – University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HES-SO). He obtained his PhD in Economics and Management from GSEM (Geneva School of Economics and Management). Previously, he worked as an associate member at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research). From 2003 to 2021, he held the position of teacher of mathematics and physics for Swiss maturity and Baccalaureat classes. His research focuses on various areas, including applied mathematics, production systems modeling, simulation and optimization, inventory management, and artificial intelligence.

Diego Vanegas

Diego Vanegas is a researcher and teaching assistant at the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG) – University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HES-SO). Previously, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Business. He is a skilled Supply Chain analyst with a Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management as well as a Master’s degree in Information Systems. Extensive experience in procurement, purchasing, IT deployment projects, business processes, and strategy management. His research interests include Healthcare Supply Chain management HSCM, Transportation, Business Intelligence, and Arificial Intelligence.

Pierre Bernasconi

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from HEG Geneva and a Master’s in Information Systems Management. Eternally curious about innovation, having recently developed a web application for real estate data visualization. Passionate about data science, artificial intelligence, supply chain, and lean management. Combines technical expertise and strategic vision to optimize business processes and harness the potential of data. Constantly seeks to apply the latest technological advancements to create value and drive innovation.

Gilles Boix

Gilles Boix is a Senior Supply Chain Consultant and Co-director of a Supply Chain Training Program at the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG) – University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HES-SO). With 26 years of experience in leading luxury industries, he has held key roles in project management, ERP implementation, and supply chain leadership, including Supply Chain Director at Piaget (Richemont Group). Passionate about people and performance, Gilles combines operational expertise with a pragmatic, authentic approach. Founder of The Keywords, he focuses on improving relationships and processes while guiding others to reveal their full potential—with humility, humor, and a competitive spirit.

Ruile Herbert

Ruile Herbert is a Senior Researcher at the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG) – University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland (HES-SO). He supports the development of collaborative innovation and research projects in logistics and supply chain management. He mentors young researchers, helping them strengthen their project management skills while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation across academia and industry. With over a decade at the helm of Logistikum Schweiz, Ruile has driven innovation and strategic partnerships in logistics and supply chain management. Under his leadership, the organization has become a model of successful public-private collaboration, advancing the sector through cutting-edge solutions. Committed to education, research, and progress, he continues to play a key role in shaping and strengthening Switzerland’s logistics ecosystem.

Faissal Jelti

Dr. Faissal Jelti is an Associate Researcher. He leads applied research in sustainable transportation and supply chain management. His areas of expertise include life-cycle sustainability assessment (LCSA), decarbonization strategies, and circular economy practices, with a focus on freight transport, passenger mobility, and last-mile logistics. He holds a Master’s degree in E-Logistics from ESITH Casablanca (Morocco) and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Moulay Ismail University in Meknes (Morocco). As a Swiss Government Excellence Scholar, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Geneva School of Business Administration (HEG Geneva), where he developed low-carbon and resource-efficient solutions for logistics and transport systems. Dr. Jelti has gained professional experience across multiple sectors, including cement, retail, aviation, and healthcare, and has served as a trainer in logistics and transportation operations. He is certified in Lean Six Sigma and energy efficiency in transport (EN 16247/4).  Combining academic insight with practical expertise, he publishes in peer-reviewed journals, mentors students, and partners with institutions and industry to design tools and frameworks that encourage greener, more resilient, and socially responsible supply chains.
